In 1993 Daley Partnership was founded by Susannah and Mollie Daley. This early incarnation of Peel combined Susannah's theatrical and writing expertise with Mollie's knowledge of drama and history to offer live interpretation (or live actor) installations to major UK visitor centres, including Bronte Parsonage, Tetley's Brewery Wharf, Blackpool Tower, National Museum of Photography, Film and Television, and The BBC Experience.
In addition, Daley Partnership also produced a wide range of educational theatre projects and corporate entertainment events, including work for clients such as British Telecom, First Direct and Norwich Union.
Peel itself was formed in 1999 to explore an innovative and fresh approach to cruise ship entertainment. Peel followed several highly successful seasons for First Choice Cruises with groundbreaking contracts for Island Cruises, Festival Cruise Lines, Thomson Cruises and Fred Olsen.
Today Peel supplies a glittering menu of production shows for Fred Olsen's Balmoral and is the exclusive production company for the Thomson Cruises fleet of five ships, providing packed programmes of production shows, games, sports music and comedy to over 150,000 guests per year.
The most recent chapter in the company's history is the joint founding of The Broughton Open Air Festival, in conjunction with The Broughton Hall Estate. This arts event, set in the beautiful grounds and Gardens of this North Yorkshire stately home, enjoyed a highly successful inaugural festival in 2006, with a spectacular professional production of A Midsummer Night's Dream. |
